Richmond, VA…March 9, 2023…Becky Dixon, General Manager and CFO of The Byrd Theatre Foundation announces the Board selection of Benjamin C. Cronly to serve as its new Executive Director, effective March 4, 2023. Cronly previously served as a Board Member, Treasurer and staff member for the nonprofit organization since 2018.
“We couldn’t be more pleased with the dedication and work that Ben has demonstrated throughout his time here at The Byrd Theatre Foundation, and it is an honor to serve under his leadership,” Dixon said.
Cronly earned his BS degree in Applied Mathematics from Hampden-Sydney College and previously worked for companies providing financial advisors and insurance. He has also given volunteer time to the Richmond Christmas Gala Board, St Andrew’s School and The Byrd Theatre Foundation in Richmond, VA. Cronly replaces former Executive Director Stacy Shaw who served from June 2020 to March 2023.
